Alexandr Ostonen

Alexandr Ostonen has extensive work experience in the field of process engineering. Alexandr began their career as a Lecturer at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences from October 2014 to December 2015. Alexandr then pursued their research career by working as a Researcher, Doctoral candidate, and Research assistant at Aalto University from May 2012 to February 2017.

In 2017, they joined Neste as a Process Design Engineer and worked until October 2019. Alexandr then moved on to Rejlers Finland, where they worked as a Senior Process Design Engineer from October 2019 to April 2020. At Rejlers Finland, they contributed to NES projects after the business unit acquisition.

Their next position was at Elomatic Oy, where they held the role of Senior Consulting Engineer from April 2020 to December 2022. In this role, Alexandr served as a lead design engineer, process expert, and conducted teaching and sales support tasks related to the process industry. Alexandr specialized in thermodynamics, process simulation, bioprocesses, and process development for start-up companies.

Most recently, Alexandr has joined Infinited Fiber Company in January 2023, where they hold the position of Senior Process Modelling Engineer. Currently, no end date for this role has been specified.

Alexandr Ostonen's education history begins in 2007 when they enrolled at Aalto University. Alexandr pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering and completed it in 2011. Afterward, they continued their studies at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 2013. Following their master's degree, Alexandr went on to pursue a Doctor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at Aalto University, which they completed in 2017.
