Marko Maukonen

Marko Maukonen has extensive work experience in the engineering and technology field. Marko is currently the Engineering Director at Infinited Fiber Company since May 2022. Before joining Infinited Fiber Company, they worked at St1 Oy as a Senior Technology Manager from August 2019 to May 2022, Senior Concept Manager from May 2017 to July 2019, and Process Expert from November 2010 to April 2017. Prior to St1 Oy, Marko was the Chief Design Engineer at Pöyry from 2006 to 2010 and a Process Engineering Specialist at Sweco PIC Oy from 2005 to 2006. Marko began their career at Kemira as a Process Engineer and was responsible for process development, supervision, and engineering, concept design, HSE studies, and start-up for chemical plants. Kemira Engineering Oy merged with Sweco PIC Oy in 2005. Before that, they worked as a Project and Plant Engineer at Finnish Chemicals Oy from 1997 to 1998 and as a Research Scientist at VTT from 1996 to 1997. Marko also gained experience as a Master's Thesis Worker at Neste in 1995 and as a Trainee at Imatran Voima Oy in 1994.

Marko Maukonen completed their Matriculation examination at Jyväskylän lyseon lukio from 1986 to 1989. Following that, they pursued a Master of Technology (MTech) degree in Chemical Engineering from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, which they obtained from 1989 to 1996. In 2003, Marko Maukonen also attained certification as an IPMA C Certified Project Manager.
