Steven Sakamoto

Steven Sakamoto, Ph.D., is a highly experienced communications payload specialist and systems engineering subject matter expert currently employed at Infinity Systems Engineering since January 2022. Prior to this role, Steven served as Communications Engineering Manager at Northrop Grumman Corporation from June 2015 to December 2021. Steven's career includes significant experience at Lockheed Martin, where responsibilities encompassed project management and the development of advanced optical and RF communications technologies. Additionally, Steven co-founded Terrawave Optical Networks and led the integrated product team for a proprietary optical modem. Early career experience includes a role as a product engineer at Intel Corporation. Steven holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, specializing in photonics and electronics, from UC Santa Barbara.
