Tom Griffin has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Tom currently holds the position of Chief Innovation Officer at Infinium, where they spearhead the development of an electrofuels solution to decarbonize the transportation sector. Prior to this, Tom served as the Managing Director at Breakthrough Energy Ventures, leading the Manufacturing Sector activities and acting as a Board Director for several portfolio companies. Before that, they worked as the Vice President - Bioprocess Engineering at Reliance Industries Limited, overseeing technology development and engineering in renewables. As the Chief Technology Officer at Edeniq, Inc., Tom provided leadership in technology development for advanced corn-based and cellulosic biofuels. Tom also co-founded Pennsylvania Sustainable Technologies, LLC, focusing on advanced biofuel process development. Tom had earlier experience at companies like DuPont, Molten Metal Technology, Inc., Shell, and the US Navy, where they held various technical and leadership roles.

Tom Griffin has a Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Science (MS) degree in Chemical Engineering and Chemical Engineering Practice from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Tom also has a PhD in Chemical Engineering - Fuels (with Applied Mathematics) from the same institution.
