Kofi Boaten

Senior Director, Head of Supply Quality & Clinical Trial Supplies at InflaRx

Kofi joined InflaRx in 2018 as Head of Drug Supplies and Clinical Services.

He is a qualified pharmacist and a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain. Kofi obtained his degree in Pharmacy from the University of Bradford, West Yorkshire, Great Britain and has over 25 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, starting his career initially in formulation and analytical development then moving on to and manufacture of solid dose and inhalation products and commercial transfer. He then, moved on to clinical manufacturing and supplies, vendor management and outsourcing of manufacturing, packaging, and distribution of clinical supplies. After which moved on to Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance, eventually becoming an IMP QP and site QA lead (manager) supporting formulation (drug) development teams across three R&D sites working across multiple dosage forms (solid dose (tablets & capsules), liquids & suspensions, inhalation (powder & aerosol), biologics and biosimilars.

Throughout the course of his career Kofi has supported 7 compounds (2 solid dosage forms, 2 inhalation dosage forms 3 biosimilars) he has supported through discovery, development through to commercialisation.

Kofi's passion is compliance and operational excellence, keeping abreast of the changing pharmaceutical regulatory landscape and ensuring InflaRx are in a good position to take advantage of opportunities and avoid pitfalls / unnecessary hurdles. He is a member of the Research Quality Assurance (RQA, formally BARQA - British Association of Research Quality Assurance) and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) Patient Centric Logistic & Quality Sub-teams.
