Yazhong Pei

Yazhong Pei has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Yazhong'smost recent role is Senior Director of Drug Discovery & Preclinical R&D at InflaRx N.V. Prior to this, they worked at EmeraldHealth Pharma as the Director of Manufacturing and CMC, where they provided leadership in drug development and was responsible for the CMC sections of regulatory filings. Before that, they held the position of Director of Chemistry Manufacturing and Control at HUYA Bioscience International, where they played a key role in gaining regulatory approval in Japan for a specific treatment and successfully transferred API manufacturing processes. Yazhong also served as a Tang Aoqing Professor at Jilin University/College of Pharmacy, Director of Chemistry at CalciMedica, Associate Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Kemia, and Director of Medicinal Chemistry at MitoKor, Inc. Earlier in their career, they held positions at Trega Bioscience, Inc., Cortex Pharmaceuticals, and Chiron Corporation.

Yazhong Pei obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Stony Brook University during the period of 1985 to 1990. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Jilin University between 1980 and 1984.
