Paweł Piotrowski

Paweł Piotrowski has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Starting as a Freelance Software Developer in 2004, they worked on numerous projects using various technologies such as Linux, Apache, PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, Python, Ruby, Visual Basic, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, and FreeBSD.

In 2009, Paweł joined Grupa o2 as a Software Developer, where they focused on PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL development, emphasizing maintenance and small upgrades of multiple systems. During their time there, they also spearheaded the DevOps movement within the company.

In 2011, Paweł took on the role of Software Architect at Grupa o2, where they designed scalable, high-performance, and high-availability systems using Python, JavaScript, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Redis, and Cassandra. Paweł continued to have a significant impact on the company's development processes.

From 2012 to 2014, Paweł served as the Head of Architecture and Development Department at Grupa o2, overseeing a team of 40+ people and collaborating closely with the Management Board and Operations Department to implement the company's product strategy. During this period, they led the transformation of the company from a waterfall approach to an agile methodology.

Paweł then joined Grupa Wirtualna Polska in 2014 as the Co-head of the Software Development Department. In this role, they managed the transformation of two different approaches to building systems, transitioning from a monolithic architecture to microservices. Paweł also led the creation of the o2.pl site and app within a 12-week timeframe.

In 2015, Paweł became the Head of the Mobile Development Department at Grupa Wirtualna Polska, scaling a small team into a department of 35+ developers and testers across five teams. Paweł introduced full agile processes, including sprints, daily scrums, reviews, demos, and retrospectives. Additionally, they successfully delivered all rewritten company mobile apps.

Paweł joined KMD Poland in 2018 as the Head of Development, where they played a key role in managing the technical aspects of the company's projects. Later that year, they transitioned to Equinix, where they served as a Senior Engineering Manager until 2023. Finally, Paweł took on the position of Director of Engineering at Inflect, beginning in April 2023.

Paweł Piotrowski began their education in 1998 at I Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Z. Krasińskiego w Ciechanowie, where they completed their high school education with a focus on mathematics in 2002. Following this, from 2002 to 2004, Paweł attended the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, where they studied computer software engineering.
