Zhe Li

Zhe Li is currently a Member of Technical Staff at Inflection AI, focusing on LLM training, inference, and infrastructure since September 2024. Prior to this role, Zhe Li served as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Apple from August 2018 to April 2024, contributing significantly to the Apple Vision Pro project by integrating deep learning algorithms with hardware for optimized system performance. Zhe Li also played a key role in developing the first generation of the Face ID recognition system with mask capability and further advanced this technology in the iPhone 13. Earlier experiences include positions as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer and Research Assistant at The University of Iowa, where Zhe Li designed optimization algorithms for various machine learning models. Zhe Li's internship experiences at Snapchat and Yahoo! focused on neural network efficiency and optimization algorithm development. Zhe Li holds a PhD in Computer Science from The University of Iowa and a Master's degree in Computer Science from South Dakota State University.
