Xavier Cifuentes

Xavier Cifuentes has a diverse work experience in the field of health and safety. Xavier is currently serving as the Vice President - Health and Safety at Inflector Environmental Services since October 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Turner Construction Company as the Manager - Project Safety from 2016 to 2020. From 2008 to 2013, Xavier was an Emergency Procedures and First Aid Instructor/Examiner at the City of Mississauga. Xavier also worked as a Supervisor - Occupational Health and Safety at Obayashi Corporation from 2013 to 2016. Xavier gained experience in occupational health and safety through their role as a Co-Op at PCL Construction from 2012 to 2013. Xavier was also a Coordinator - Occupational Health and Safety at Hatch, where they contributed to building a compliant safety management system and managed the corporate ISNetworld account. Xavier's work experience also includes a role as an Advisor - Occupational Health and Safety at the Parliament of Canada in 2010.

Xavier Cifuentes completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Occupational Health and Safety from Ryerson University in 2014. From 2013 to 2015, they obtained a Certificate in Construction Health & Safety Officer (CHSO) from the Infrastructure Health & Safety Association and a Certificate in Risk Management from the University of Toronto Mississauga. In 2014, they also earned an Internal COR Auditor certification in Safety Management Systems from the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association and a Level 2 Technician - Draeger BG4 certification from Draeger. In 2015, they received a Certificate in Internal Auditing, specializing in Assurance Services, from the University of Toronto. More recently, in 2019-2020, they pursued a Post Graduate Certificate in Building Information Modeling Management from George Brown College. Additionally, Xavier holds several industry certifications, including Power BI Essential Training from LinkedIn, Certified Registered Safety Professional CRSP from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, and OPEN Water Diver from PADI.
