Courtney Mudd

Courtney Mudd is the current Director of Human Resources at Influence & Co. Prior to this, they worked as an HR Generalist at adventur.es from August 2013 to July 2014, and before that, as a Leasing Agent at Hawthorne Management Company from February 2008 to August 2011.

At Hawthorne Management Company, Courtney was responsible for screening potential rental applications, conducting background checks, verifying employment history, obtaining rental history, and running credit reports. In their role, they were also responsible for leasing rental properties, scheduling appointments, facilitating and leading potential clients on property tours, and performing annual property inspections. Additionally, they maintained existing client files, created work orders, organized and filed leases and owner contracts, and sent out notifications to clients when necessary. By implementing these practices, Courtney was able to lower the property turnover rate by 30% in one year and decrease the property vacancy list by 80% in seven months.

In addition to their responsibilities related to managing the properties themselves, Courtney was also responsible for collecting accounts receivable, addressing clients’ complaints, and responding to emails, phone calls and messages promptly. By providing excellent customer service, they were able to improve customer satisfaction significantly.

Courtney Mudd earned a Bachelors degree in Agricultural Economics, Public Policy, and Natural Resources from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

They are on a team with Natalie Stezovsky - VP, Melanie Janisse - Senior Director, Media Relations, and Sara Koller - Director, Partnerships. Their manager is Kelsey Raymond, Co-Founder & CEO.
