Sastry Varanasi

Sastry Varanasi is a seasoned software engineering leader with extensive experience in cloud-based security and networking services. Currently serving as Vice President of Software Engineering at Infoblox since October 2014, Sastry has successfully led global teams to innovate and operate scalable services, achieving significant adoption among over 700 customers and generating more than $100 million in revenue. Prior to Infoblox, Sastry held various roles at Cisco Systems from February 2001 to October 2014, including Senior Manager of Software Development, where responsibilities included leading the Cisco Device API project and contributing to significant revenue through advancements in device management technologies. Sastry holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Managing Technology & Innovation from Santa Clara University, a Master of Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, and a Bachelor of Technology from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.
