Senior SQL Developer at Infogen Labs

Masuk Ul Islam has a diverse work experience spanning over 14 years. Masuk Ul began their career as a Junior Software Engineer at REVE Systems in 2007 and then worked as a Software Engineer at Maestro Private Limited in 2008. In the same year, they joined Pubali Bank Ltd. as a Database Administrator, where they installed and configured Oracle 11g with Automatic Storage Management in a Real Application Cluster environment. Masuk Ul also led the team in migrating data for over 300 branches and setting up a disaster recovery site.

In 2011, Masuk joined First Security Islami Bank Ltd. as a Database Administrator, where they designed and implemented a data guard solution and led a data migration project for the centralized core banking solution. Masuk Ul also served as the primary Database Administrator, handling performance tuning, standby/failover configuration, and backup and recovery management.

From 2011 to 2017, Masuk worked at Chevron as a Technical Computing and Database Analyst. Here, they provided database and system support, improved business processes by standardizing databases and systems, and implemented disaster recovery solutions. Masuk Ul also contributed to security controls and standards and executed reporting activities through Archer GRC.

In 2018, Masuk joined Orbit Group Partners as an ETL Developer, where they reviewed requirements, designed data models, and implemented ETL components in SSIS. Masuk Ul also troubleshooted and performed administration tasks for databases, including MSSQL and Azure platforms.

From 2019 to 2021, Masuk worked at Enercare Inc. as an Analytics Developer, analyzing sales and marketing data, designing data-driven KPIs, automating data feed processes, and developing dashboards for different stakeholders using T-SQL and SSIS.

Most recently, in 2021, Masuk joined Infogen Labs Inc. as a Senior SQL Developer, where they are currently employed.

Masuk Ul Islam completed a Master's degree in Data Science and Analytics from Ryerson University from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2007, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. Masuk Ul Islam then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance at the University of Dhaka from 2009 to 2012.

In terms of additional certifications, Masuk Ul Islam obtained the following: Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional from Oracle in November 2017, ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in October 2017, Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Associate from Oracle in October 2017, MCSE: Data Management and Analytics from Microsoft in September 2017, MCSA: SQL Server 2012/2014 from Microsoft in August 2017, and the Microsoft Certified Professional from Microsoft in August 2017. It should be noted that the obtained month and year for the Red Hat Certified Engineer (Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6) certification are not provided.
