Patrick Martell

Patrick Martell is Informa’s Group Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive of the Informa Markets division.

He joined Informa in November 2014 as CEO of the Informa Intelligence division. Under Patrick’s leadership and as part of Informa’s 2014-2017 Growth Acceleration Plan I, the business returned to positive growth in 2016 after significant investments in digital platforms and technology, customer relationship management and customer experience.

Patrick served as Integration Officer when Informa acquired Penton in 2016, overseeing the successful integration of Penton’s US live events, B2B marketing services and information services brands into Informa’s divisions.

He was appointed Group Chief Operating Officer in 2018 when Informa expanded following the acquisition of UBM and oversees the company's central shared services operations. Patrick was appointed Chief Executive of the Informa Markets division in January 2023, following the divestment of the company's Intelligence businesses in 2022.

Patrick joined the Informa PLC Board as an Executive Director in March 2021. He also serves as the company’s nominee on the board of Curinos, Informa’s joint venture in retail banking intelligence.

From 2009 to 2014 Patrick was Group CEO of St Ives plc where he led a successful restructuring and repositioning of the business, undertaking acquisitions and disposals and transforming its financial performance, valuation and operations.

Patrick is a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at RM plc.
