Ruth Ovens has extensive work experience in human resources and organizational development. Ruth is currently the Chief People & Talent Officer at Informa Tech, a position they have held since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Future as the People & Culture Director from September 2019 to March 2021. Ruth also served as the People Director for Connect Group PLC, where they focused on building capability and delivering customer and operational excellence for the Smiths News Division and Head Office. Ruth has also held roles as Human Resources Director/SVP of HR at Quadriga and as a Senior Associate at WayPoint Change Limited. Ruth founded their own consultancy firm, Ruth Ovens Human Resources and Organisational Development Consultancy, where they served as the Founder and Director. Ruth's earlier experience includes positions at Nine Feet Tall, Berkshire Consultancy Ltd, British Council, and Wilts Wholesale Electrical Co Ltd, where they held various human resources roles.

Ruth Ovens has a diverse education history. Ruth first attended the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a CIPD degree in the field of study of Fellow. Ruth also gained certification in Occupational Testing Level A & B from the British Psychological Society, although the specific years are not provided.

In 2004, Ruth pursued further education at the University of Hull and completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Strategic Personnel and Development in 2005. Following this, they returned to the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development in 2014, where they focused on Organisational Development and Design. The duration of this program was one year, ending in 2015.

Most recently, in 2021, Ruth enrolled in the Chartered Management Institute and is currently pursuing a Level 7 degree in Coaching and Mentoring.

Additionally, Ruth obtained a certification in the CMI Level 7 - Coaching and Mentoring Programme from the institution In Professional Development in February 2021.
