Geoffrey Rubin, MD, MBA, FACR

Geoffrey Rubin, MD, MBA, FACR has an extensive work experience in various prestigious institutions and organizations. Geoffrey is currently serving as the Professor and Chair of Medical Imaging at the University of Arizona - Tucson since October 2020. Dr. Rubin has also held significant leadership positions, including President and Board Chairman of the ISCT | International Society for Computed Tomography since 2009 and Co-Founder of Informatics In Context since 2011.

In addition, Dr. Rubin has contributed to the field of radiology and imaging through their roles as Member of the Board of Directors of RAD-AID International since 2014, George Geller Distinguished Professor of Radiology and Bioengineering and Chairman of the Department of Radiology at Duke University from 2010 to October 2020, and Chief-of-Staff Elect/Vice Chief-of-Staff at Stanford Hospital & Clinics from 2008 to 2010.

Throughout their career, Dr. Rubin has held various positions at Stanford University School of Medicine from 1996 to 2010, including Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs, Chief of Cardiovascular Imaging, and Medical Director of the 3D Laboratory. At Stanford University, they served as a Professor from 1993 to 2010.

Furthermore, Dr. Rubin founded TriVascular, Inc in 1997 and served as its Founder until 2004.

Geoffrey Rubin, MD, MBA, FACR completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) with honors in Chemistry and Biology at Caltech from 1978 to 1982. Geoffrey then pursued a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at UC San Diego from 1983 to 1987. During the same period, they also obtained a Doctor of Medicine - MD degree from UC San Diego. Moving forward in their education, they completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Stanford University School of Medicine from 1988 to 1993, specializing in Body Imaging through a fellowship. Later in their career, Geoffrey Rubin pursued further professional development and attended Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business from 2013 to 2014. Geoffrey earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and achieved the distinction of being a Fuqua Scholar, ranking in the top 10% of their class.
