May al Khalifa

May Al Khalifa is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and information technology. Currently serving as the Director of the Geographic Information Systems Directorate at the Information & eGovernment Authority since August 2015, May Al Khalifa has also held the positions of Acting Director for the Government Systems Development Directorate, Chief of GIS Processes Analysis, and Head of Data Development. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Computer Systems Analyst at the Central Informatics Organisation, where May Al Khalifa led business analysis teams and coordinated various GIS projects. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Innovation Management from Arabian Gulf University, a Master's in Information, Network, and Computer Security from New York Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering from the University of Bahrain.
