Kaitlyn (Kai) Peña has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Kaitlyn (Kai) is currently working as an IT Project Coordinator at Information Systems Solutions, Inc. Since joining MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. in 2018, Kai has held multiple roles including Specialty Program Manager, Pharmacogenomics and Innovation Operations Coordinator. In these positions, they conducted market research, analyzed opportunities to improve commercialization of the pharmacogenomics program, and led the implementation of new vendors to enhance the patient and healthcare provider experience. Kai also worked as an Accounts Receivable Specialist at HD Supply, a Medical Quality Assurance Analyst at Kaiser Permanente, and a Call Center Representative at Bank of America. Kaitlyn (Kai) has experience in the healthcare field as well, having served as a Medical Billing Specialist at Saenz Therapeutic Care and a Health Information Specialist in the United States Air Force. Throughout their career, Kai has demonstrated their expertise in project coordination, program management, and operational efficiency improvement.

Kaitlyn (Kai) Peña has a diverse education history. Kaitlyn (Kai) began their educational journey by attending the Community College of the Air Force from 2013 to 2015, where they obtained a Health Services Management Technical Degree with a field of study in Health Services Administration.

Afterward, Kaitlyn pursued further education in the field of pharmacy. Kaitlyn (Kai) acquired a Managed Care Pharmacy Certification from the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, specializing in Clinical, Hospital, and Managed Care Pharmacy. This certification was obtained before 2021, with the exact start year unknown.

Continuing their educational endeavors, Kaitlyn is currently enrolled in San Diego City College from 2022 to 2024. Kaitlyn (Kai) is working towards an Associate of Science degree in Sociology.

To complement their educational qualifications, Kaitlyn also obtained the Fundamentals of Managed Care Pharmacy certification from the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy Foundation in November 2021.
