Martin Makaryan

Martin Makaryan is an emerging professional in the field of digital policy and government affairs, currently serving as a Research Assistant for both the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation and the Center for Data Innovation since April 2024. Additionally, Martin holds the position of Staff Writer at The SAIS Observer. Previous experience includes roles as a Government Affairs Intern at the Internet Security Alliance, Halle Foundation/AGI Intern at the American-German Institute, and Government Affairs Coordinator at the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles. Throughout Martin's academic journey, Martin pursued a Master of Arts in International Relations at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, alongside studies in Public and European Affairs at Sciences Po. Martin's educational background also includes a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Global Studies from UCLA and an Associate in Arts for Transfer in Political Science from Glendale Community College.
