Thomas Oscherwitz

Thomas Oscherwitz has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Most recently, they served as the Vice President of Legal at Informed.IQ starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President of Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs at FairPlay AI, where they were responsible for leading policy and regulatory affairs efforts. Before their time at FairPlay AI, they worked at Plaid as the Interim Regulatory and Compliance Counsel.

Thomas also has a substantial legal background, having served as the General Counsel at Aire and later as the Vice President of Operations and Legal Counsel. Thomas also held the role of U.S. Director of Operations and Counsel and In-house Legal Counsel at Aire. Earlier in their career, Thomas worked at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), initially as a Program Manager in Credit Reporting Markets and later as the Assistant Deputy for the Office of Supervision Policy. Thomas also served as the Acting Deputy Assistant Director and Senior Advisor and Counsel, Markets at the CFPB. Their role at the CFPB involved overseeing consumer protection in the financial sector and managing a team of industry experts.

In addition to their private sector and government experience, Thomas worked at ID Analytics as the Vice President of Government Affairs & Chief Privacy Officer. Thomas was also the Director of Government Affairs and Privacy at ID Analytics. Before that, they worked for the United States Senate as a Counsel on the Senate Judiciary Committee, where they handled consumer reporting issues, privacy, and other legislative matters. Thomas began their career as a Legislative Assistant for Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren, focusing on science committee and judiciary committee issues.

Thomas Oscherwitz attended the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2018, where they completed an Executive Education program in MIT SLOAN/CSAIL Artificial Intelligence, Implications for Business Strategy. Prior to that, they received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Stanford University, with a focus on American Studies. Thomas also pursued a Doctor of Law (JD) degree at the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law.
