Goran Kimovski, also known as Kima, has a vast range of work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2008, they worked at SAP as a Software Development Manager, overseeing teams and coordinating feature delivery. In 2010, they joined Indicee as a Software Production and Release Manager. Goran then co-founded TEDxYouth@AntarcticPeninsula, the first TEDx event on Antarctica, and TEDxKids@BC, where they served as Licensee, Co-Founder, and Sponsorship Director. In 2011, they also began working at Vivonet as the Senior Director of Product Development, managing software development and leading architectural and technological decisions. Alongside these roles, they co-founded and served as the Executive Director of the non-profit organization World4Children Society, aiming to empower children through experiential learning. In 2012, they worked as a Senior Technology Consultant as a self-employed independent consultant. From 2013 to 2018, they were the CTO and Managing Partner/Co-Founder of TriNimbus, a Premier AWS Consulting Partner. In 2018, they transitioned to Onica as the SVP of Customer Solutions & Canada, focusing on driving strategy, building trust with customers, and delivering cloud-native architectures. Currently, since 2020, they are the CEO and Co-Founder of Infostrux Solutions, a Snowflake Services Partner specializing in data solutions.
Goran Kimovski, also known as Kima, completed their education in the field of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. Goran obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree from Univerzitet 'Sv. Kiril i Metódij' vo Skopje, with a duration of study from 1999 to 2003. Prior to this, they acquired a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from the same university, again specializing in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, and studied from 1994 to 1999.
In addition to their formal education, Kima has pursued various certifications to enhance their skills and expertise. Goran obtained the SnowPro Advanced: Data Engineer certification from Snowflake in December 2021, as well as the SnowPro Advanced: Architect certification in August 2020 and the SnowPro Core Certified certification in December 2020, both also from Snowflake. Furthermore, they hold the AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional certification from Amazon Web Services, earned in April 2015, and the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification received in November 2014.
