Alan Tang

Alan Tang, PhD, MBA has work experience as the Chair of the IAPP KnowledgeNet Vancouver Chapter at the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals since 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Principal Advisory Director for Security and Privacy at the Info-Tech Research Group starting in 2021.

Alan Tang earned a Bachelor's degree in Industry Analysis from China University of Geosciences. Alan then pursued a Master's degree in Information Security from Peking University. Following that, they obtained a PhD in Information Security from Beijing Jiaotong University. Alan also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Sofia University. Additionally, they have obtained numerous certifications in various fields, including cloud security, privacy, project management, and information systems auditing.
