Matthias Schirle

Matthias Schirle's work experience begins with their position at InfoTiles, a Nordic independent software vendor. Matthias serves as a Customer Success & BI professional, working with the company's cloud-based streaming service that gathers, processes, visualizes, and makes sense of data across various sources. Matthias'srole involves integrating different data sources such as open data, IoT and sensors, SCADA systems, and domain-specific systems.

Prior to this, Matthias worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Applied Sciences. Matthias was involved in the Smart2Charge (V2G) research project, where they developed usage profiles for private passenger cars to forecast realistic charging demand. This information was used as a main input for an electricity grid simulation.

Matthias also had experience at Robert Bosch Automotive Steering GmbH, where they completed their Master's thesis project. Matthias'sfocus was on modeling and simulating a combined heating, cooling, and power generation system (CCHP) for Robert Bosch AS Plant. Matthias aimed to increase the operating hours of an existing CHP system by utilizing excess thermal energy for cooling processes, thus improving energy efficiency. Matthias also worked as a Student Assistant in Energy Management during this time.

Lastly, Matthias began their professional career as a Rescue Worker at DRK Kreisverband Landkreis Konstanz e.V. This role involved providing rescue services within the organization.

Matthias Schirle pursued their education with a focus on energy systems. Matthias first attended Technische Hochschule Ulm from 2011 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Energy Systems. Building upon this knowledge, Matthias then enrolled at Hochschule für Forstwirtschaft Rottenburg from 2017 to 2020. During this period, they completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Sustainable Energy Competence (SENCE).
