José Carlos Gonçalves

José Carlos Gonçalves is an experienced professional specializing in cybersecurity, technology systems, and innovation. Currently serving as the Head of Cybersecurity at IP Telecom PT since May 2013 and as a member of the EU CyberNet Expert Pool since August 2024, José has contributed to key EU projects such as the Portuguese Quantum Communications Infrastructure. With a career spanning over three decades, José has held various roles, including Senior IT Consultant and IT Director at multiple organizations, and has expertise in areas like open source management, datacenter security, and project management. José holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and several postgraduate degrees in operational management, data protection, and cybersecurity.
