Akash Vidyadharan is the current CTO and software developer at InfraLytiks. Akash has also worked as a graduate intern at the Federal Aviation Administration - PEGASAS and as a graduate research assistant at the Multidisciplinary Optimization and Design Engineering Laboratory.
As a graduate intern at the Federal Aviation Administration - PEGASAS, Akash travelled to Florida for FAA PEGASAS meetings and assisted in the creation of process architecture with a team. Akash also led and managed a team of graduate and undergraduate engineering students who worked to solve current aviation issues. In addition, Akash was responsible for categorizing and updating the FAA Airport Safety Database (ASD) to perform incident analysis. Akash also researched and explored methods to reduce incidents in airport operations using information from ASD.
As a graduate research assistant at the Multidisciplinary Optimization and Design Engineering Laboratory, Akash worked on creating a value model for Unmanned Aerial Systems by taking into account the technical, legal and societal aspects involved to create a simulation to analyze and rate different UAS based on its components, autonomy level and technology readiness level. The research involved using a combination of various tools and frameworks such as Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO), Value-Driven Design (VDD), and Decision Analysis (DA) to analyze and incorporate the preferences of the stakeholders along with the legal and societal factors involved while designing and operating UAS on a large scale.
Akash Vidyadharan completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Aerospace Engineering at Iowa State University. Akash then completed a Master of Science (M.S.) and a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Systems Engineering, also at Iowa State University.
They work with and Tyler Carter - COO & CFO. Akash Vidyadharan reports to Kevin Prendergast, President.
