Neil Pragnell has a diverse work experience spanning over 14 years. Neil is currently the Head of Portfolio Delivery at NHS Business Services Authority, a role they assumed in February 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Professional Lead for Project Management & Business Analysis at the same organization from September 2018 to February 2021. In this role, they led various change projects within the NHSBSA Information Services, including the migration of on-premises Data Warehouse into Oracle Cloud and the implementation of the Corporate Oracle Exalytics/Exadata Data Warehouse platform. Neil also played a key role in delivering an award-winning Data Analytics service to identify error and fraud across the NHS. Additionally, they managed the WebSphere migration program and was responsible for leading the NHS Reforms program resulting from the Health & Social Care Act 2012, involving change within multiple business areas.
From July 2017 to September 2018, Neil held the position of Programme & Project Manager/PM Community Professional Development Lead at NHS Business Services Authority. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Resource Analyst from May 2010 to October 2010, where they were responsible for designing and delivering a Central Skills Matrix database solution to support resource management and allocation, workforce planning, and talent management. Neil also designed the supporting processes for the system.
Neil's earlier experience includes working as a Deployment Liaison at NHS Business Services Authority from January 2007 to April 2010. In this role, they were involved in the production of implementation strategies and plans, coordination and execution of system deployments, and configuration management of large core business system releases.
In addition to their roles at NHS Business Services Authority, Neil briefly worked at Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA) in 2018 as an Accredited Project Review Team Member (Medium Risk).
Neil Pragnell completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Leadership and Management Practice from Northumbria University from 2019 to 2021. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications, including P3O® Certifications from AXELOS Global Best Practice in March 2019, MoP® Certifications in March 2018, PRINCE2® 2017 Practitioner certification in January 2017, MSP® Certifications in March 2016, NLP Certified Practitioner certification from the INLPTA - International NLP Trainers Association in March 2012, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Parity Consulting in February 2003, and recently became a Chartered Manager Member of the Chartered Management Institute in April 2022.
