Owen Kennedy has extensive work experience in portfolio management and project delivery. Owen began their career at the Crown Prosecution Service in 2013, where they worked as a Senior Project Manager and later became the Head of Project Office. In 2017, they joined the Ministry of Justice UK as a Portfolio Manager, responsible for managing a central portfolio of major change investments. During their time at the Ministry of Justice UK, they also served as the Head of Project Assurance and Investment Appraisal. In 2019, Owen joined the Department for International Trade as a Portfolio Manager, focusing on international development and trade. Owen then moved to the Infrastructure and Projects Authority, where they held the position of Portfolio Management Lead before being promoted to the role of Head of Governance, Strategy and Development for the Government Project Delivery Function in 2020.

From 2018 to 2019, Owen attended Cranfield University, where they completed the Project Leadership Programme. The field of study for this program was Project Management.
Prior to that, between 2009 and 2011, Owen studied at BPP Law School and obtained a degree in Law. Specifically, they completed the Bar Vocational Course during this period.
Additionally, Owen has obtained several certifications, including IPA Certified, Project Development Routemap: International from the Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA) in August 2020. Owen also holds certifications in MoP® Foundation and MoP® Practitioner from the ILX Group, achieved in March 2020. Furthermore, they obtained the APMP: The APM Project Management Qualification from the Association for Project Management in December 2014 and PRINCE2 Foundation and PRINCE2 Practitioner certifications from APMG-International in February 2014. Lastly, Owen is an Accredited Medium Risk Assurance Reviewer, again certified by the Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA), in February 2020.
