Tomoo Misaki

Tomoo (Tom) Misaki is a seasoned IT/ICT specialist currently semi-retired and active in various professional organizations since February 2023. With a career spanning several decades, Tom has held significant roles at NRI (Nomura Research Institute) until February 2023, including Senior Staff in the Securities Wholesale (Investment Banking) Solution IT Department and as an Enterprise Data Center and Cloud Specialist. Tom has contributed to the Energy Efficient High Performance Computing Working Group since 2010 and serves as a Fulltime Member of the Japan Aeronotical Engineer Association since 1994. Additionally, Tom holds a leadership position in Infrastructure Masons as a 1st Degree Master and has been involved with the Green Grid Association and ISO-IEC JTC1 SC39, where notable contributions include participating in the development of international standards focused on data center sustainability. Tom's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Brown University and ongoing studies in Telecommunication at Pace University.
