Michael Lindsay has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. Michael currently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Infrastructure Ontario since November 2020, where they previously held the position of President Project Delivery from July 2019. Before that, Michael worked as the Head of Strategic Partnerships & Government at the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO) from February 2018 to July 2019.
Prior to their role in IMCO, they served as the Global Director of Infrastructure Planning & Advisory at Hatch from August 2016 to February 2018, leading a global team that provided advisory and consulting services for infrastructure investment programs and projects. Michael also worked as the Senior Vice President of Commercial Projects at Infrastructure Ontario from July 2014 to August 2016, leading a team responsible for commercial transactions related to the divestiture, financing, and development of public assets.
Before joining Infrastructure Ontario, Michael worked at McKinsey & Company, where they held the position of Associate Principal from July 2012 to July 2014, specializing in the Canadian Public Sector Practice. Michael also worked as an Engagement Manager/Associate from July 2008 to July 2012, leading teams and carrying out sectoral analysis for various client engagements.
Michael's earlier experiences include working as an Advisor on Special Projects at Queen's University in 2004, Advisor on Special Projects at Kingston Economic Development Corporation in 2003, and serving as the President and CEO of Alma Mater Society from March 2002 to February 2003.
Michael Lindsay earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Political Science and Government from Queen's University in 1999-2003. Michael then pursued a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Oxford in 2004-2006.
