Marian Ion

Marian Ion is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in the banking sector, currently serving as the CEO of ING Hubs Romania since January 2016, where responsibilities include overseeing the development and delivery of tech services for all ING Bank subsidiaries globally. Prior to this role, Marian held the position of IT Director at ING Bank N.V. in Amsterdam, specifically for the Bucharest Branch, where Marian was instrumental in establishing the first cross-located development hub for Core Banking solutions. Marian's career at ING Romania spans over a decade, during which time Marian served as CIO/IT Director for Commercial Banking, focusing on technological modernization efforts. Educational qualifications include an Executive MBA from ASEBUSS Business School and an Engineer's Degree in Automatic Control and Computers from University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.
