Dirk Jan van der Poel

Dirk Jan van der Poel is an experienced leader in risk management and IT governance, currently serving as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for ING Technology Domain and Global Head of Information & Technology Risk at ING since January 2021 and July 2015, respectively. In addition to these roles, Dirk Jan is a member of the Supervisory Board at Citco Bank Nederland and chairs its Risk and Compliance Committee. Previous positions include a Board Member at NOREA, Program Manager for DigiD at Logius, and various senior roles at Ordina, ASML, The Citco Group of Companies, KPMG IT Advisory, and Arthur Andersen. Dirk Jan holds multiple advanced degrees and certifications in auditing and business economics from prominent Dutch universities.
