Stephen Creese

Stephen Creese serves as the Global Head of Non-Financial Risk at ING since June 2021, overseeing various risk management areas including Corporate Security, Operational Risk, and Information Risk across both Retail and Wholesale Banking. In addition, Stephen holds a position on the Supervisory Board of ING Bank Śląski S.A. since November 2021. Prior to joining ING, Stephen worked at Citi from September 1998 to May 2021, where roles included Global Head of the Control Assessment framework and Regional Head of Operational Risk Management, managing a substantial team responsible for operational risk across 54 countries. Stephen’s previous positions also encompassed leadership in in-business risk management and internal auditing. Educational qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Economics and Economic History from The University of Manchester.
