Dan Dunleavy

Managing Director Renewable Energy Ventures at Ingevity

Dan Dunleavy has extensive work experience in the energy and finance industries. Dan currently holds the position of Managing Director Renewable Energy Ventures at Ingevity, where they are responsible for managing deal origination and investments in renewable fuels. Dan also works with the CEO, CFO, and leadership to define sustainable strategies and reduce GHG footprint. Prior to this role, they served as the Managing Director, Energy & Climate Markets at Ingevity. Before joining Ingevity, Dan held various roles in government relations, growth initiatives, and energy management at the company. Dan also has experience in futures trading and consulting, working for various companies from 2011 to 2015. In the early years of their career, Dan worked at Morgan Stanley, Sempra Energy Trading, Shell, Illinova Corporation, and PCA in executive, director, manager, and trader roles.

Dan Dunleavy graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance in the years 1992 to 1996. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Florida between 2002 and 2004. Dan also obtained additional certifications, including Energy & Environmental Markets Advisory Committee from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and Series 7 & 63 from FINRA. Furthermore, they hold the title of Exchange Member at CME Group.
