Cary Opel

Cary Opel possesses extensive experience in cell culture process development and manufacturing, currently serving as Senior Director at Inhibrx, Inc. since June 2021, previously holding the role of Director in the same department. Prior to Inhibrx, Cary worked at Gilead Sciences from September 2015 to May 2021, progressing through several senior research scientist positions. Cary's career began at Genentech, where responsibilities ranged from Engineer I to participating in an Operations Rotational Development Program from July 2004 to August 2009. Cary holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, attained between January 2009 and January 2015, and a Bachelor's Degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, completed between January 2000 and January 2004.
