Víctor García Carrasco has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Víctor worked as a Researcher at inLab FIB in 2020, where they focused on modeling the dynamics of the COVID-19 pandemic and conducting multiparametric estimation. Their role involved coding system dynamics models with Python and adapting them to cellular automaton models with SDL. Víctor also simulated containment measures with intelligent agents and collaborated in writing technical documents and scientific articles.

Before that, Víctor worked as a Freelance Financial Advisor and researcher in econophysics and social models since 2011. Víctor provided financial advice and conducted research in the field.

Víctor also worked as a Political Advisor at Ajuntament de Castelldefels from January 2018 to June 2019. In this role, they provided political advice and guidance.

Furthermore, Víctor gained experience in the banking sector as a Bank Technician on Investment and Asset Management at Banco Sabadell in 2011. Their responsibilities included daily rebalancing of fund portfolios, utilizing Bloomberg terminals for data extraction and visualization, maintenance of VBA macros, and interactions with various software.

Víctor also completed a Quantitative Finance Internship at Banco Sabadell, where they worked on projects related to hedging with synthetic options using futures. Víctor implemented Black-Scholes models, conducted Delta hedging with derivatives, and performed backtesting with historical and simulated data using Monte Carlo simulations.

Víctor has academic research experience as well. Víctor worked as a Research Academic Staff (PDI) at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from September 2008 to September 2010. Víctor also served as a Systems Manager and Webmaster at Universitat de Barcelona, where they managed the institution's MySQL database, upgraded computer equipment, and provided user assistance. Additionally, Víctor gained research experience through a Researcher Internship at Institut de Ciències de l'Espai in 2007.

Víctor García Carrasco's education history is as follows:

From 1999 to 2007, they attended the Universitat de Barcelona where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Physics, specializing in Physics, Astrophysics, and Computational physics.

In 2007 to 2008, they pursued a Master's degree in Applied Computational Physics at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, focusing on Physics, Astrophysics, and Computation.

In 2010 to 2011, they enrolled in the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya again for a Graduate program in Quantitative Techniques in Financial Markets, delving into Mathematics, Finance, and Economy.

By 2015, they expanded their knowledge by pursuing a Computational Finance and Financial Econometrics program at the University of Washington, concentrating on Financial Mathematics.

That same year, they also took a course in Economic Growth and Distributive Justice at Tel Aviv University, specializing in Economics.

Finally, in 2019, they attended Centres Innovació i Formació Ocupacional (CIFO) to study Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the field of Computer Science.
