Ali Khazem

Ali Khazem is currently a Doctoral Student at INM-Leibniz Institute for New Materials since November 2023. Prior to this role, Ali was a team member in the iGEM Competition from December 2022 to November 2023, working on the project OptoGenEYEsis, which earned a Gold medal, Best Hardware Award, and a nomination for Best Software. Ali gained experience as a Research Intern at CEA in the Fermentation Engineering Lab from January 2023 to July 2023 and worked as an Infection Control Practitioner and Medical Laboratory Technologist at Jabal Amel Hospital from August 2021 to November 2021. Ali holds a Master's degree in Systems and Synthetic Biology from Université Paris-Saclay (2022-2023), a Master 1 in Biochemistry from Lebanese University (2021-2022), and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Lebanese University (2018-2021).
