Dr. Rubin currently serves as Head of Ventures and Entrepreneur in Residence for Bethesda, MD based BioHealth Innovation, Inc., as well as Entrepreneur in Residence for the National Institutes of Health, Office of the Director. Previously, Dr. Rubin directed global clinical strategy and medical affairs for Medtronic, and served as Chief Scientific Officer of BioFortis, Inc. (acquired by Quintiles-Quest JV) and CSA Medical Inc.
Dr. Rubin brings a history of accomplishments in healthcare innovation, corporate ventures, and translational medicine to the Innara Health Board of Directors. She has consulted for VCs and other corporate clients, taking the lead on due diligence for investment and M&A efforts through her consulting firm, Innovative BioStrategies, LLC. She also advises numerous CEOs in preparation for seed to series B financing as well as start-ups regarding strategy and technology development and commercialization efforts.
A cell and molecular scientist by training, Dr. Rubin's research at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center elucidated pathways for potential intervention in breast cancer. She earned a PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and has held business leadership roles in many organizations, including Women In Bio, MIDC, GBTC BioTech Roundtable and the Emerging Technology Center incubator, among others.
Dr. Rubin has over 25 products in the marketplace and was instrumental in multiple M&As, investment deals, partnerships & collaborations.
