Serkan E. Hakyemez has a solid work experience in the field of engineering. Serkan E. started their career in 2004 at Aselsan, where they worked as a Test Design Engineer, primarily focusing on test requirements analysis, verification reporting, and various testing procedures. Later on, they transitioned to the role of Digital Design Engineer at Aselsan, where they were responsible for system and architecture development, commissioning, project management, and requirements analysis. In 2018, they joined Fugro as a Hardware Design Engineer, and in 2019 they moved to Celestia Satellite Test & Simulation BV as a Firmware/Hardware Engineer. Currently, they are working at Innatera Nanosystems as a Senior Staff Digital Design Engineer.

Serkan E. Hakyemez completed their education in a chronological order. Serkan E. attended Ankara Fen Lisesi from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a High School Diploma with a science-oriented curriculum. Serkan E. then went on to Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi/Middle East Technical University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electronics Engineering from 2000 to 2004.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Serkan pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same university. Serkan E. successfully completed this program from 2004 to 2007.

Serkan further continued their education at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi/Middle East Technical University, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Digital Signal Processing from 2008 onwards.

In addition to their formal education, Serkan E. Hakyemez has also obtained several certifications. In 2005, they completed the "Electromagnetism, Antenna, Propagation and Wireless Communication Course" at Bilkent University. In 2007, they attended the "Far-Field, Anechoic Chamber, Compact and Near-Field Antenna Measurements Course" at Georgia Institute of Technology. Furthermore, Serkan completed the "Mentor Graphics Board Station XE Training Course" and the "Mentor Graphics DxDesigner Training Course" in 2008 and 2014, respectively, at CDT in Ankara, Turkey. Lastly, in 2016, they participated in the "Programmable Logic Training Course - Professional Vivado" at PLC2 GmbH.
