Tyesha has a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership for Social Justice, a Master of Arts degree in Social and Cultural Analysis of Education, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies. Throughout their career, Tyesha has focused on developing effective curriculum, implementing innovative teaching strategies, providing leadership and support to teachers, and fostering a positive learning environment for students.

ICEF was one of the first charter school management organizations to open in Los Angeles, and quickly became a leader in raising the achievement levels of African-American and Latino/Hispanic students in the State of California.
