Derrick Moon is a dedicated legal professional with experience in various roles within public interest law. Currently serving as a Housing Justice Fellow at Inner City Law Center, Derrick has built a strong foundation through previous positions, including Spring Extern at Legal Assistance to the Elderly, Inc., Summer Law Clerk at Los Angeles County Public Defender, and multiple clerkships at Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, focusing on veterans and economic stability issues. Derrick's background includes working as a paralegal at Inner City Law Center on the Homeless Veterans Project and as a paralegal/legal assistant at VOGL MEREDITH BURKE LLP. Derrick holds a J.D. Candidate designation from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley.

The only provider of legal services on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles, Inner City Law Center combats slum housing while developing strategies to end homelessness. Inner City Law Center is recognized for our expertise in housing issues, veterans’ benefits, and homelessness prevention. Our staff of 40, including 20 attorneys, provides quality legal representation for people who have nowhere else to turn. We fight for justice for low-income tenants, working poor families, immigrants, people who are homeless or disabled, and veterans. Driven by the fundamental principle that every person should always be treated with dignity and respect, ICLC works for long-term, positive, and meaningful change.
