Ishvaku Vashishtha is an Equal Justice Works Fellow at Inner City Law Center, focusing on advancing economic justice for unhoused individuals in Los Angeles through direct representation, policy advocacy, and impact litigation. Vashishtha holds a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law, where involvement in the Policy Advocacy Clinic led to the successful passage of SB 1197, eliminating juvenile fees in Arizona. Previously, Vashishtha has served as a Law and Policy Intern at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, advocating for significant legislative measures, and as a Legal Intern at ACLU SoCal, providing support for civil rights protection.
