Míchel Angela Martinez is an experienced project manager currently working at the Inner City Law Center, leading the Preventing & Ending Homelessness Project since June 2018. Previous roles include serving as a dishwasher at Dinette, a professor at the University of Southern California from July 2015 to June 2017, and a graduate student instructor from August 2010 to May 2015, where courses covered various aspects of law and politics. Míchel has also held positions as a Social Justice Research Fellow, a communications consultant, a study director for the USC-LA Times California Election Poll, a national organizer for The National Lawyers Guild, a disaster relief policy analyst and photographer in Thailand, and a program aide in public health. An academic background includes a Ph.D. in Political Science focused on social justice movements and visual culture from the University of Southern California, supplemented by a certificate in Critical Participatory Action Research from the CUNY Graduate Center. Míchel holds a BA, summa cum laude, in Political Science and Photography from the University of Southern California.
