Game Designer at Innersloth

Dave Tamayo has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry, starting in 2011 as a Programming Intern at the University of Waterloo. In 2014, they completed an internship at 13AM GAMES Inc. as a Game Programming Intern, where they worked on a 2D platformer for the Wii U. Dave then worked as a Game Developer at Vale, creating a game to reinforce safety principles, and later joined the George Brown College Digital Media and Gaming Incubator as a Game Developer, collaborating on various gamified educational projects. In 2016, they became a Game Developer at Peekapak | Social Emotional Learning, creating a game that immersed players in the Peekpak world. Dave then worked at Ubisoft Toronto from 2017 to 2021, starting as a Game Design Intern and later becoming a Game Designer. During their time at Ubisoft, they played a significant role in developing the RPG layer for Far Cry 6 and worked on AI Game Design. In 2022, they joined Paladin Studios as a Game Designer before moving to Innersloth as a Game Designer later in the same year.

Dave Tamayo completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Honours Physics from the University of Waterloo in the years 2009 to 2013. Dave then pursued further studies at George Brown College, earning an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Game Programming from 2014 to 2016. Later, Dave attended George Brown College again and obtained an Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Game Design from 2016 to 2017.
