Jim von der Ehe has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Jim started their career at John Deere in 2004 as a Performance Engineer, where they focused on developing performance calibrations for 4.5L and 6.8L engines. In 2006, Jim joined GE Power as a Development Engineer. During their tenure, they created performance calibrations for various engines and applications and ran technical data tests. Jim also worked with their manager to significantly reduce the time for technical data testing and model generation. In 2012, they transitioned to the role of Lead Performance Engineer at GE Power, where they were involved in the application of the next generation engine controller, ESM2, to other products. Jim led the performance development, calibration, and validation of ESM2, confirming its performance in steady-state and transient governor, knock and misfire, and emissions control systems. Jim continued to work in this role when INNIO Group acquired GE Power in 2018. Currently, Jim remains the Lead Performance Engineer at INNIO Group.
Jim von der Ehe earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002. Jim later pursued a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the same university, completing it in 2004.
