Sneha Mahalunkar-Misal, Ph.D, MPhil, MSc has diverse work experience in various research and academic roles. Sneha currently works as an Associate Scientific Manager - Clinical Research at Innoplexus, where they contribute to drug discovery-related projects by identifying targets, conducting case studies, and validating genomic data against human diseases. Prior to this, they were a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the School of Basic Medical Science, Savitribai Phule Pune University, where they focused on formulating and fabricating various nanoparticles for cancer research. Sneha also evaluated the cytotoxicity and optimization of these nanoparticles under in vitro and in vivo conditions.

In addition, Dr. Mahalunkar-Misal worked as a DST PURSE Research Assistant at the Department of Physics, SPPU, Pune, where they synthesized and delivered nanocapsules to cancer cells for drug delivery purposes. Sneha also worked as an Assistant Professor at both the MODERN COLLEGE OF SCIENCE ARTS AND COMMERSE and Progressive Educational Societys Modern College of Arts, Science & Commerce, teaching various bioscience and biotechnology courses to undergraduate students.

Sneha has also gained research experience internationally, including working as a Research Scholar at the National Institute for Basic Biology in Japan. Here, they focused on studying DNA methylation patterns in Xenopus laevis embryos to examine the role of DNA methylation in duplicated genes. Dr. Mahalunkar-Misal's research experience also includes working as a Project Assistant II at the National Chemical Laboratory, where they screened organisms for aromatic hydroxylation and conducted gene cloning and transformation.

Motivated to delve deeper into the realm of bio-nanotechnology, Sneha joined Savitribai Phule Pune University in 2013 to pursue a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree. Over the course of two years, from 2013 to 2015, they engaged in focused research and academic study in this specialized area.

Continuing their academic journey, Sneha went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree at Savitribai Phule Pune University, where they majored in Bio-Nanotechnology.
