Steve Mantle

Steve Mantle is the current CEO and founder of innov8. Prior to this, they worked at Microsoft from January 2007 to May 2019, where they were the Director of Business Strategy for Acquisitions and Partnerships for the Intelligent Cloud division. In this role, they led a team focused on understanding market and cloud dynamics, and working across Microsoft to prioritize investment in new technologies and solutions - with an emphasis on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and open source technologies. The team was responsible for enabling Microsoft's advanced workloads and acquisition/partner investments to scale net-new businesses and revenue streams via the global sales field, by leveraging existing or building net-new sales teams. Some of the recent acquisitions during their time at Microsoft include Xamarin (mobile app dev), Adallom / Aorato / Secure Islands / PhoneFactor (security), GreenButton / Avere / Cycle Computing (high performance computing), APIphany (API management), Capptain (mobile analytics), Cloudyn (cost governance), GitHub (developer collaboration), Inmage (disaster recovery), Citus Data, Bonsai, Revolution Analytics (AI/advanced analytics), StorSimple (storage). Steve also was responsible for partnering with companies such as Akamai, Databricks, IBM, NetApp, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce.com, and ExpressRoute. During their time at Microsoft, they helped fuel Azure’s 90% annual growth rate from $500M per year to over $7B per year.

Steve Mantle has an Executive MBA from the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business, as well as a degree from Andrews University.
