Ravi Akula

Ravi Akula has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Ravi is currently the Vice President of Engineering at Innovapptive Inc, where they lead the transformation of their CWP into a SaaS offering, resulting in a significant increase in new customers and additional market opportunities. Ravi also formulated and executed a technology roadmap to migrate existing customers to the SaaS offering, which played a crucial role in securing funding for the company. Ravi has also implemented various improvements, such as CI/CD pipeline, automation testing, and SaaS Ops/DevOps practices, resulting in reduced onboarding time for new tenants. Ravi has reformed quality practices, significantly reducing bug counts and improving overall product stability. Ravi has coordinated with Product Owners to align technology roadmap with other teams and actively engaged customers to ensure their feedback is incorporated into feature development. Ravi has also established a culture of OKR-driven performance and ensured predictable release outcomes.

Before joining Innovapptive, Ravi worked at Kony, Inc. as a Senior Director, where they managed large teams responsible for the Infinity App suite. Ravi successfully designed and transformed the architecture of Origination apps to create a SaaS offering, resulting in multiple customer sign-ups. Ravi also played a key role in achieving partnership goals with Temenos through integration and adoption plans. Additionally, they actively participated in pre-sales, sales, and customer engagement meetings to present the product roadmap and ensure alignment with professional services and partner teams.

Prior to Kony, Ravi held various roles at ValueLabs as a Technical Manager and at Alliance Consulting as a Systems Analyst. At Alliance Consulting, they worked on J2EE technology stack and contributed to the design and development of several products. Ravi also upgraded their knowledge regularly through certifications and actively promoted the adoption of JSP 2.0 and J2EE-based MVC frameworks in product development.

Ravi Akula completed their Advanced Certification in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at IIIT Hyderabad in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Computer Applications degree from S R K PG College, Sri KrishnaDevaraya University from 1997 to 2000, specializing in Computer Science and Information Technology. Ravi also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science from S V Arts College, Sri Venkateswara University, earned from 1994 to 1997. Ravi Akula completed their Intermediate education with a focus on Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at A G S Junior College, Tirupati from 1992 to 1994. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Scrum Master Certified from Scrum Alliance, obtained in September 2012, and as SCJP and SCWCD from Sun Microsystems.
