Principal Scientist and Aquaculture Science Services Lead at Innovasea

Tyler Sclodnick has a diverse work experience in the field of aquaculture. Tyler worked as a Principal Scientist and Aquaculture Science Services Lead at Innovasea from August 2016 to present. Prior to that, they served as a Development Supervisor at Open Blue Sea Farms from September 2015 to August 2016. From June 2012 to June 2015, they worked as a Consultant at Aquaculture International Consulting, providing early stage consulting for marine offshore aquaculture companies. Tyler also worked as a Teaching Assistant for Geographic Information Systems at the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science from January 2013 to June 2014. In addition, they served as an R&D Site Coordinator at Baja Aquaculture from May 2013 to August 2013 and as an Aquaculture Program Manager at Cape Eleuthera Institute from January 2010 to March 2011.

Tyler Sclodnick began their education journey in 2005 at Queen's University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and marine science. Tyler completed their undergraduate studies in 2009. In 2011, Tyler continued to expand their knowledge in the field by attending the University of Miami, where they obtained a Master of Science in Marine Affairs and Policy, which they completed in 2013. Later, in 2019, they enrolled at the University of Massachusetts Amherst to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, which they completed in 2021. Additionally, Tyler holds a Dive Master certification from PADI, which they obtained in October 2010.
