James Trueman

James Trueman is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in intellectual property and investment banking. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at TrueNorth IP since January 2018, Trueman oversees a boutique IP investment bank that helps IP owners maximize the value of their assets. Additionally, Trueman holds the position of Managing Director at Innovation Acceleration Capital, where strategic advice is provided to corporations developing outsourced R&D strategies. Previously, Trueman has held notable roles at Ocean Tomo and Acacia Research, focusing on IP transaction advisory and business development. Trueman's educational background includes an MBA in Strategic Management from The Wharton School and a BS in Finance from the University of California, Berkeley.
