Shawn Spurko

Shawn Spurko has extensive work experience in the field of information and cyber security. Shawn is currently serving as the Vice President of Information and Cyber Security at Innovation Federal Credit Union starting from July 2023. Prior to their current role, they worked at Servus Credit Union where they held various positions including Manager of Information Services Security, Security Lead, Centre of Expertise Risk Management Lead, and Information Services Security Analyst - DevOps. Shawn worked at Servus Credit Union from November 2018 to July 2023. Before joining Servus Credit Union, Shawn worked at Affinity Credit Union as a Support Services Analyst from April 2010 to February 2018. Shawn also held the position of IT Manager at 2020 IT Solutions from October 2007 to April 2010 and worked as an IT Support Specialist (Contract) at the University of Saskatchewan from January 2007 to May 2007. Prior to that, they were an IT Specialist at Reed Security from July 2005 to January 2007. Overall, their work experience spans a diverse range of roles and responsibilities within the IT and security field.

Shawn Spurko attended Saskatoon Business College from 2004 to 2006, where they obtained an Associate of Science (Honors) degree in IT Support Specialist and Administrator. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications, including MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, CISSP, C|EH Certified Ethical Hacker, and several Microsoft certifications such as MCSA: Windows Server 2012 and MCSE: Server Infrastructure. Shawn also holds certifications from CompTIA, including CompTIA A+.
