Cara Rager has extensive experience in education and community engagement, currently serving as the Director of Early Learning at WXXI Public Broadcasting Council since November 2009. In this role, Cara develops training and resources to enhance learning opportunities for families and educators, promotes PBS educational programs, and strengthens community ties. Previous positions include Manager of Educational Training & Family Engagement and Educational Training Coordinator at WXXI, as well as tutoring roles at private tutoring companies, Sylvan Learning, and as a teacher in the Rochester City and Webster Central School Districts. Cara holds a Master of Science in Literacy Education from the University of Rochester and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from St. John Fisher University.
